Life coaching is so much more than having someone to open up too; it's a fantastic tool that encourages transformation and reinvention.

Yet again as we come out of another lockdown, a lot of people are raring to go, however some feel anxious. Let's be honest, it has been a tough year for everyone in many different ways.

Right now it feels like there is so much to focus on: our financial goals, job goals, holidays, socialising, and so much more. But after this year, one important goal we should all be focusing on is our health. As we have learned, our health and the health of our loved ones is everything.

Keeping a healthy body is important for our hearts and minds. Healthy doesn't necessarily mean skinny or ripped – peoples' bodies are naturally different shapes and sizes. No one should want to be the same as someone else, you are you – just seek to be the healthiest version of you.

Along with a healthy body, a healthy mind is equally as important. Learning to handle anxiety, stress and letting go of negative thoughts, comments, loving yourself and being happy in yourself – these are all components of a healthy mind.

With a strong mind you can conquer anything, with self-belief you can achieve everything you want to achieve, and with a healthy body you can enjoy life with more energy, physically feel better and even sleep better.

As we go forward into summer and out of lockdown remember to move more, stay strong and be the best version of yourself.

The benefit of setting goals

We've learned this year the absolutely importance of keeping a healthy body and healthy mind, as best we can, to help us face life's twists and turns.

Young children, teenagers and adults of all ages – everyone benefits from prioritising their health.

Setting goals is always a great starting point for any area of your life that you are seeking to improve: career, holidays, saving, paying off debt, getting fit, being healthy or designing a whole new lifestyle.

Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation. It helps you focus, provides direction and gives you a destination.

Ask yourself:

  • What are your health goals?
  • What are your family's health goals?
  • And how can you achieve them?
