Mark Bailey Cognitive behaviour therapy psychotherapist , W1B
I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and in Clinical Practice since 2001. I am down to earth, approachable and passionate that therapy is a collaborative process - my job is to enable clients to find their own individual, specific answers to their problems. I am experienced enough to know that theory is helpful but what happens in successful therapy is not purely dictated by it. No one size fits all and no specific therapeutic model has all the answers.
I am lucky enough to have worked with and alongside some brilliant, supportive and highly effective therapists personally and professionally so I work with clients how I would like a therapist to work with me: approachable, supportive, empathic, human, non-shaming, kindly challenging and always with an eye on helping you achieve the results you want and helping to reduce psychological pain and negative symptoms.
Training and qualifications
Registered as a Psychotherapist with the UKCP and NLPTCA, I have Post Graduate Training in Contemporary Psychotherapy including Psychopathology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neurolinguistic therapy, Gestalt, and Clinical Hypnotherapy. I have also trained at the Mindfulness Centre at Oxford University's Department of Psychiatry.
I have undertaken specific training in Anxiety Disorders and Mood disorders such as Depression and have specialist interest in Complex PTSD, Self-Esteem and Shame Resilience and in helping clients who have been in manipulative, alcoholic, violent, abusive, or narcissistic environments.
I am an NLP Master Practitioner and hold memberships of the NLPTCA, RSPCC and INLPTA.
I charge a flat rate of £110 per clinical hour. I always suggest we start with a brief phone call so we can clarify what you need and if I believe I can help you.
