About Me

I predominantly work with 18-35 year-olds who are struggling with anxiety and self-critical thoughts, and who put a lot of pressure on themselves. Have you ever wondered if you are your own harshest critic? Maybe you have high expectations for yourself and you feel deeply disappointed when you don’t meet them. Maybe you find yourself thinking things like, “You’re going to fail” or “Everything will go horribly.” The thoughts and feelings you are experiencing may feel “out of control” and this can be overwhelming to navigate alone. If this sounds familiar, you may have a harsh inner critic.


Everyone has an inner critic: that internal voice that judges our feelings and behaviour. A healthy dose of the inner critic can help us acknowledge areas for improvement. But when our inner critic gets too loud or too aggressive, this can lead to stress and a fear of failure.


Our work is to help you better understand and manage your inner critic so that it has less power over you. My clients say that working with me has helped them to feel calmer, better equipped to face the challenges in their lives, and more able to form and maintain fulfilling relationships. I work with you by drawing from a variety of perspectives (person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT) depending on your personality, needs, and preferences. Rather than impose certain ways of working, I like to check in with you and decide together how to move forward.
