Vicky Gidda
Psychosynthesis counsellorAbout Me
Hello! My name is Vicky, I'm a Psychosynthesis Counsellor and founder of SoulSpace based in Burnham, Berkshire.
At the heart of SoulSpace is creating a safe space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment. A space to discover meaningful insights that can assist in navigating their lives in a more fulfilling and meaningful way.
My work reflects a holistic and inclusive approach to the person that stresses the importance of experience at the level of body, feelings, mind and spirit because each of these are important to the art of ‘living well’ and achieving our full potential.
One of my keys strengths is to blend deep empathy with a strong understanding of the holistic, growth-oriented approach that psychosynthesis offers grounded in compassion insight and a dedication to seeing each person as a whole.
In practice psychosynthesis not only addresses immediate concerns but also helps to connect with deeper purpose, integrating past experiences and potential for future growth.
My experience in guiding clients to explore their inner selves and uncover hidden strengths creates a transformative space for healing and self-discovery.
My approach is warm, authentic and relationship led.
If my work resonates with you, please feel free to contact me on my mobile 07899 539479 for a free 30-minute consultation or visit my website soulspacecounsellinguk.com where you can access more information and book online.
Practice description
The journey in therapy is often to learn to come into relationship with oneself first so that relationship with another and anything that lyes beyond that is possible.
The therapeutic relationship evokes the relational struggles that we suffer in our lives so that we are able to become conscious of the deeper dynamics of our suffering and essentially make different and more empowered choices along the way.
My first session
The initial consultation is an opportunity for me and the client to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed.
The following questions maybe explored:
• What are your symptoms?
• What brought you to therapy?
• What do you feel is wrong in your life?
• Some questions about your history, including your childhood, education, relationships (family, romantic, friends), your current living situation, and your career
Future visits will be more therapeutic in nature. For example, in your second session, you may explore a specific symptom, problem, or past trauma you mentioned in the first session.
