Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), also known as Cognitive Hypnotherapy, is actively researched in current scientific journals. A growing body of evidence suggests that incorporating hypnosis into cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) enhances outcomes compared to CBT alone.
The combination of relaxation, focused attention, heightened suggestibility, vivid imagery, and emotional intensity in hypnosis facilitates quicker and more profound changes compared to traditional "talking therapies." This approach offers a wide array of evidence-based techniques to design customized treatment programs for clients.

Teaching clients about hypnosis and the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach involves a collaborative effort between the therapist and the client. In CBT, the goal is for the client to become their own therapist. This process includes understanding the workings of the mind and body, recognizing the distinctions between thoughts, sensations, and emotions, understanding how anxiety is triggered, and learning effective strategies to bring about positive change. The emphasis is on empowering clients through education (psycho-education) and skill-building (coping skills training).
During our sessions, we will use these tools and techniques:
· Self-awareness Exercises: Guiding you to cultivate mindfulness regarding your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behaviours.
· Identifying Negative Beliefs: Recognizing and uncovering negative (unhelpful) beliefs contributing to the issue.
· Cognitive Disputation & Restructuring: Examining methods to challenge and weaken negative beliefs and thoughts.
· Hypnotic Skills Training & Self-Hypnosis: Coaching you in self-hypnosis and increasing your responsiveness to hypnotic suggestions.
· Relaxation Techniques: Meditation: Offering insights into the relaxation response (parasympathetic nervous system) and its correlation with breathing style. Teaching breathing relaxation skills and integrating these principles into hypnotherapy sessions.
I specialize in diverse challenges such as stress management and resilience building, addictions, emotional abuse, phobias, anger management, worry, anxiety, family problems, relationship issues, and depression, my goal is to empower you to overcome these hurdles.
