Training and qualifications

- ABC Counselling Concepts Level 1&2 award.

 

- BSc in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy at The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI). This is a 3-year Bachelors of Science degree. Completion of this requires 200 client therapy hours, 110 hours of personal therapy and 70 hours of professional supervision.

 

Certificate in Trauma and the Body: Dissociation and Somatisation from Carolyn Spring.

 

- Completed training in Family and Relationship Dynamics with Hayley Rose Psychotherapy.

 

 

I have experience working within the following settings: 

- Working at a bereavement charity focusing on clients struggling with their association to cancer whether that be as a patient, relative, carer or bereaved loved one.

- Working as a prison counsellor working directly with the male inmates suffering with a range of psychological disturbances from childhood trauma to personality disorder.

- Working online for a sexual abuse charity with clients who have survived childhood sexual abuse and incest.

- Working at a national charity offering counselling to people with mental health problems, people from diverse communities, and people in poverty.
