Poonam Mehta
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
As an integrative psychotherapist as well as trained in EMDR, I use different combinations of therapeutic tools and approaches to suit individual needs. I am an active and empathetic listener with extensive experience in a wide range of issues.
‘Integrative psychotherapy’ is a more progressive form of therapy than traditional singular forms of psychotherapy, drawing elements from different schools of thought to make it a more flexible and inclusive form of treatment that’s suitable for a wide range of emotional health issues.
As a psychotherapist working with various issues, I have engaged with clients to help grow their self-confidence and awareness by pinpointing the root cause of their issues. I worked within both the Private and NHS Sector, in long and short-term weekly therapy with adults suffering from a variety of problems E.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement). Over the course of sessions, a significant change takes place whereby the functionality of day-to-day tasks become more attainable and the belief and will to progress is strengthened
