About me
As a therapist, I provide a confidential space where we can reflect on what’s happening for you and why. Having having worked in radio and tv for 20 years, and witnessing the rise in social media first hand, I’m mindful of the huge worth in one to one connection with another person face to face. I have spent a lifetime listening and talking to people in the interests of hearing their story; reflecting real experiences. My wish has always been to connect more authentically in whatever situation I’m in. The noise can feel relentless – children, work, family, friends, phone, emails, social media – it is hard to find the time and space to think. Fears about: the future health parenting family relationships work sex life friendships …all get drowned out in today’s fast moving, busy, everyday life. I offer a weekly space, to allow time and space for whatever you are feeling, scared to acknowledge, not even sure you can voice. It can be terrifying to have some of these feelings and face them alone. However, it is my experience that albeit scary, it can be life saving and hugely rewarding to listen to the little voice inside ourselves which often doesn’t get any room or which gets muted by everything else. We’ll be together for 50 minutes every week. In your week, it might be the only time you allow yourself to be really listened to or that you can actually hear yourself. Areas I work with: Anxiety, stress and overwhelm Depression Exploring a history of trauma or abuse Family conflicts Feelings of emptiness and lack of fulfilment Grief and loss – difficulties coping with bereavement or relationship break up Pressures of competing to a high level at sport; including injury and illness Problems facing major life transitions Relationship Issues Self esteem and confidence Work related issues; career anxiety, transitions, pressures of public life versus private life I work face to face with individuals in my practices in the City and Hammersmith on a short or long term basis. If you’re interested in support and working together please call or email me to arrange an initial session. We will discuss what you are looking for from therapy and agree how we will work together.
