About Me

How often do you have a space that is just for you? If you are here, you have already made the first step of recognizing you need this space and time.

Together we can go on a journey where you can discover what has been holding you back, work through painful memories and understand yourself better. This journey might be scary and painful at times, but it will also allow you to let go of what isn’t working and grow your confidence, compassion and self-acceptance.

I’m an Intersectional Integrative Therapist because I don’t think one size fits all. Maybe because of my journey trying to navigate labels that feel limiting, I am passionate about offering a space where we can explore freely. You are the expert of your own life, and I am here to be by your side and guide you every step of the way.

My approach is Intersectional, Liberatory, Psychodynamic, Existential and Person-centred therapy. This means I believe having a trusting relationship is essential to the work we will do together. I always pay attention to how societal norms and systems impact us. I focus on helping you make sense of your experiences and how they are affecting you today. I also believe in helping you find tools to make the changes you need in your life.

Anti-Oppressive Practice

As a white, non-disabled therapist it is my responsibility to recognise the power I hold in the world and in the therapy room. I am committed to an anti-oppressive practice and continuously work on becoming more aware of my privilege and bias by attending several reflection groups and regular training. I strive to make the room a space where we can speak openly about difference and power and recognise the impact this has.

There could be many reasons why you are here today. So, rather than trying to guess, I offer a free 15 minute consultation where I will share a bit more about myself and you can tell me about what brought you here and then you can decide if you want to take the next step.

Training and qualifications

I am a psychotherapist in training currently completing the latter stages of an Integrative Psychotherapy MSc at Metanoia Institute. I hold a BSc in Psychology and have been working in mental health for eight years, offering therapy for four of these. I have worked in supported housing with young people and adults struggling with their mental health and at risk of homelessness. I have also worked in an LGBTQ+ charity creating mental health plans and facilitating well-being groups.

I currently work with a charity supporting people who have faced Adverse Childhood Experiences including being affected by HIV, mental health, addiction and domestic violence, among others.

As is the case with all therapists, my work is under continuous clinical supervision with an experienced supervisor.
