About Me

Perhaps you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed? I offer clients (couples and individuals) a relationship which supports them to move forward with a stronger sense of themselves and so better equipped to meet whatever opportunities and challenges lie ahead.

Whilst we cannot change other people and we often cannot change difficult circumstances which we find ourselves in - we can choose to adapt our own responses with better self-awareness. I offer my clients a relationship where it is safe to explore their experiences in confidence and without judgement or agenda, to support you to reflect, adjust and move forward in a direction that feels right for you.

For couples, it is perhaps worth remembering that all relationships have the potential to be heaven or hell; the differences being created by the relationship's capacity to manage conflict, establish friendship and share meaning.

Under pressure, it is predictable that communication can become more challenging, with each feeling defensive and the art of listening and feeling heard is quickly lost. Once defensive patterns of communication have been established, it can be almost impossible for a couple to regain open and constructive dialogue without the support of a third person.

As one couple noted, our work together has brought them not only a stronger sense of themselves and their relationship, the communication tools and techniques practiced have reaped rewards across all of their relationships. Similarly, individual clients discover new ways of being in contact with themselves and others which relieve their sense of feeling stuck, unheard, lost or confused.

If you feel ready to take the next step, please contact me by phone or email. I can usually offer an Initial Consultation within 2 weeks.

This is an opportunity for us to explore in confidence how we might work together. There is no commitment to meet again and I would encourage anyone to meet with several professionals to allow themselves to find the support which is right for them. If you decide that I am not the right person for you to work with, I may be able to signpost you to alternative professional support.

Because life happens. Because self-care isn't selfish.

I offer flexible agreements. Having explored together how I might best support you, we can arrange to meet for a planned number of sessions to focus on a particular aim, to work together throughout a particular time period or to begin open ended work.

Regular sessions last 50 minutes for individuals or 60 minutes for two people and are scheduled at the same time and day each week.

As I have sole use of my practice room, I am able to offer some flexibility on those occasions when life gets in the way of our usual session time.

Fees

Individuals:

Initial Consultation (up to 60 minutes) £65

Weekly sessions (50 minutes) from £65

Couples:

Initial Consultation (up to 75 minutes) £90

Weekly sessions (60 minutes) from £90

Payment for sessions is due on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, I am currently not able to offer any further reduced fees.

I have chosen not to register directly with any private health insurers at this time but am always happy to provide receipts for payment if you are able to claim directly or via a company scheme.  In my experience, many companies are willing to part or fully fund talking therapy so it is perhaps worth asking your employer what support may be available to you.
