Larysa Kelembet
Cognitive behaviour counsellorAbout Me
I have been working in Mental Health in different capacities for over 20 years supporting adults with mental health conditions such as Anxiety, Depression, Eating and Personality Disorders, and some others. It has helped me gain understanding of the complexities of the mental health illnesses and the difficulties clients are going through in the processes of treatment and recovery. The therapies I use refer to human optimisation, health promotion, prevention and treatment of psychological problems. As a therapist, I use approaches that best suit clients and their individual needs. I aim to enable clients to explore their issues and take actions in order to bring positive changes into their lives.
Apart from exploring the client's issues, I offer psychoeducation which helps them find healthier ways of managing their emotions and feelings. I work on identifying irrational thinking patterns and destructive coping strategies and gradually replacing them with helpful ones. Clients are provided with self-help techniques and taught new coping skills.
My life and work are aligned with such values as integrity, commitment, reliability, professionalism and compassion. I treat clients with respect and empathy.
I offer mostly online sessions and some face-to-face sessions in West London.
