Kim Coussell
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
I offer a therapeutic environment that is holistic in nature incorporating elements of various psychological models. Within this experience of psychotherapy, there is a consideration of the range of human experience including behavioural, cognitively, psychological, physiological and spirituality. I appreciate the variety of human experience and the elements of oneself which are inherent that influence how we see ourselves and perceive our life experiences. I provide a supportive space to explore how you may have been shaped by your experiences and this can result in an improved understanding of oneself often leading to personal empowerment and increased resilience and life satisfaction.
As a depth psychotherapist and my integrative training allows me to draw from a wide range of modalities which include but are not limited to psychodynamic, attachment theory, gestalt, person-centred and dreams. Creative expression through the incorporation of art, writing, visualisation or delving into one’s world of dreams offers other ways of being in sessions which takes one beyond words and into the lands of symbolism.
I have experience working with various challenges around such as relationship breakdown, family dynamics, generalised anxiety disorder, parenting, pregnancy, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, anxiety, abuse, women's issues, redundancy, people pleasing and work related pressures.
I am UKCP registered and a BACP Member, Integrative Transpersonal Counsellor and Psychotherapist
