Transactional analysis psychotherapistAbout Me
I am a Psychotherapist and Coach, with lived experience of Neurodivergence.
Having trained as a Coach in 2003, I now combine this with my work as a Psychotherapist, specialising in working with Neurodivergent clients . I have a lot of experience working with clients who have ADHD and / or are Autistic or AuDHD.
ADHD individuals can have executive function challenges, which can negatively effect their professional and personal lives. If ADHD is left unsupported, it can lead to psychological harm and a reduction
Some of my clients have received a formal diagnosis of ADHD. Other clients do not but want to understand their brain and how they can boost their performance.
As an ADHD coach and Neurodivergent focused Psychotherapist, I help clients counterbalance their ADHD challenges including:
- Planning and prioritisation
- Time management
- Routine-building
- Organisation and simplifying the physical environment
- Productivity
- Emotional dysregulation
- Task initiation
- Impulse control
- Self monitoring
- Flexible thinking
- Working memory
- Relationship issues
- Self esteem, making sense of diagnosis and identity issues
Therapy can help clients prepare or cope with an ADHD / Autism diagnosis. Therapy is a separate service to coaching, although there is some overlap and I combine the two depending on what the client needs. However, psychotherapy is more focused on: Guiding the client through processing their past (trauma, anxiety etc) Helping them understand the way their experiences shaped their view of themselves and the world Explore coping mechanisms to help them manage mental health challenges, as well as anxiety and stress in the moment
I'm also the owner of a national professional organising and productivity coaching franchise (www.atidymind.co.uk).
