About Me

Hello,

I am aware that making a decision to start therapy is not an easy one and it is important you choose someone you can really connect with. I am an experienced, Integrative therapist, trained in different approaches and my way of working is rooted in Person-Centred and Psychodynamic methodologies.

That means that I value you as a person and who you are without judgement. I will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviour, and worldview, so you can become more self-aware and independent.

We may look into your past and particular your childhood to gain some understanding of how your current difficulties are linked with the past experiences.

I see our relationship as the most important aspect of the therapy.  I aim to facilitate a genuine, authentic and collaborative relationship where you can feel safe to explore what is troubling you without any judgement. I offer a confidential, supportive space, where you can really feel listened to and be heard.

Although I am competent to work with a variety of issues, I have extensive experience in supporting people affected by any form of domestic abuse (psychological, emotional, physical, sexual, stalking, harassment and coercive behaviour). I can support and guide you through difficulties in your relationship to enable you to make the best decision for yourself.

In addition to the above, I have a special interest in working with people suffering from eating disorders. As someone told me 10 years ago, 'there is more to this than just eating', and now I really understand it.

I offer short and long-term therapy to adults and adolescents who may experience a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties. This may include a current crisis, pattern of unhelpful, repeating behaviour or issue from the past.
