About Me

We can all go through times in our lives when we feel it would be beneficial to talk to someone who is outside our family and friends. It is a brave decision to seek help. Whatever reasons you have for seeking therapy are valid and I will treat them and you with care and respect.

My name is Julia and I am an experienced therapist working in Hackney. I provide a warm, calm space where together we can explore and make sense of what has brought you to counselling.

Maybe you are experiencing anxiety or depression and you feel you would benefit from some support. Maybe counselling is something you have always been curious about, or maybe there is a mismatch between how you want life to be and how it is.

Difficulties you may be experiencing now can have their roots in the past and therapy is a place where previous experiences can be explored and understood, as well as looking at what is affecting you right now. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, self confidence and relationship issues.
Counselling and therapy can be challenging, but it can also be fun, insightful and intriguing. I will approach you and your experiences with compassion and kindness and give space for your authentic self to emerge and gain confidence. This will not always be an easy process, but it will  be worth the effort and courage and we will take it at your pace.
