Integrative counsellorAbout Me
I am a professional Psychotherapeutic Counsellor registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. I use an integrative, relational approach which enables me to tailor my work to meet the individual needs of each client. I seek to understand the individual subjective view of each client and I value the therapeutic relationship as being of primary importance in my counselling work.
All counselling sessions are completely confidential.
As well as my private practice, I have worked for a number of years with Suffolk Mind the mental health charity and with Women's Aid. Additionally, I teach counselling skills and theory at West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds.
I can work with any emotional and psychological issue or concern including:
- Relationship problems
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bereavement and Loss
- Stress and feeling unable to cope
- Family problems
- Trauma
- Abuse
- Addictions
Counselling can also be used for personal development so I can work with you to explore aspects of 'the self' in order to gain awareness and greater insight into your personality and actions.
I use a consulting room in my home in a quiet part of the village of Walsham-le-Willows.
