Jaleh Gitiforoz Integrative psychotherapist , N2
I am an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist UKCP registered , Supervisor and Hypnotherapist. Relationship issues, anxiety, anger management, eating disorders and low self esteem are amongst the most frequent issues that I work through with my clients .
My approach is integrative. Therapy in my view is about creating a safe and trusting environment in which you can express yourself as freely as possible and get the opportunity to explore the roots of your problems and gain insight into patterns of living that may be destructive. This awareness can bring about the possibility of having choices, hence the ability to shift the stuck-ness or repetitive cycles.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I was an artist and a lecturer. I have found that therapy can bring about creativity in clients not necessary in its obvious forms (e.g.; painting, music) but in learning how to deal with frustrations, internal and external conflicts.
I provide short term counselling 6-12 sessions as well as open ended long term psychotherapy. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns and issues. As well as working in private practice, I have had experience in a number of mental heath setting.
I am also a supervisor to both trainees and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. Currently I supervise at Maya Centre as well as in my private practice.
I offer Skype sessions if face to face isn't possible.
I am registered with Insurance.
