About Me

Hello, I am a clinical hypnotherapist with over 15 years specialising in anxiety disorders. Based in South East London and online, I work with adults and young people (age 11+), in English and French. I offer warm supportive guidance, to help you get to the root cause of anxiety and resolve it.

Anxiety arises when our Central Nervous System gets dis-regulated or overloaded. It can manifest in a variety of ways including stress, general or social anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive behaviours, procrastination, dissociation, burn-out, depression, low self-esteem, loneliness, identity problems, unhealthy eating or trauma responses. I will focus on resolving the root cause of your issue.

Anxiety is associated with habitual, ritualistic, avoidant or addictive patterns of behaviours or coping strategies, designed to keep us safe, soothe unwanted emotions and make us feel in control. However in the long run, they  and become limiting and self-sabotaging and maintain anxiety.

I combine different modalities in your treatment, including Hypnotherapy. I have found that it is one of the most effective approaches to resolve anxiety. It can enable you to resolve past sensitising events, uncover unconscious motivations and facilitate the adoption of new behaviours. The hypnotic trance state is safe and you remain in control. Most people find it enjoyable and relaxing.

Together we can work on:

  • Identifying unhelpful coping strategies
  • Identifying the root cause of your anxiety
  • Re-processing any traumatic or unresolved emotional events
  • De-sensitising triggering situations
  • De-conditioning fear responses
  •  Building capacity, increasing your threshold to stress
  •  Re-introducing fluidity in the CNS, to come in and out of stress responses
  • Learning strategies to regulate in and out of stress responses
  • Reframing negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs
  • Generating and adopting new healthy behaviours

How many sessions will you need?

This depends on your issue. If you want to resolve a specific issue, perhaps a feeling or coping mechanism you would like to change, NLP techniques can be effective in 5-6 sessions. If you are thinking about therapy and need a safe space to talk to identify your needs, you can book just one session.

If you are going through a difficult time and need ongoing support, or if you feel the need to heal deeply, come to terms with your past, learn to set boundaries or regain control over your life, we can work on an open basis and you can end therapy whenever you want.

Taking the first step:

If this sounds good, you can book a free chat now. This will give you the opportunity to ask me any questions and see if you feel comfortable working with me. I will ask you to tell me a little bit about what brings you to therapy. There is no obligation at this stage, as I recommend you take time to consider whether you are ready for therapy and whether we are a good fit. Feel free to contact me on 07838169923 now .

I follow the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) codes of ethical practice.
