About Me

My name is Heather Bradley and I am a Trauma Therapist specialising in working with Adults who have experienced Childhood Sexual Abuse.

I work with all kinds of Trauma, Anxiety and PTSD so am not limited to sexual abuse. However if you have experienced this, I want you to know that you're not alone. I have over 10 years experience working with clients in this area and I also have personally overcome my own childhood sexual abuse and further sexual traumas in adulthood.

I really do understand the complex ways it can manifest in your life; especially in relationships and intimacy leading to feelings of loneliness, confusion and despair. I am passionate about helping you reclaim your life and experience feeling safe and free in both body and mind.

Together we journey from where you are now into a life that has clarity, meaning and purpose. This can often involve revisiting the past to release your trauma at the root giving you freedom and control over your life. Helping you to understand and release the fear response and trauma from your body, and to enjoy connecting with your body reclaiming feelings of pleasure and safety.

I am a warm, friendly and passionate person but am also compassionate and skilled at working with painful memories, dissociation, panic attacks, feeling numb, sexual problems, trust and intimacy problems, problems saying no and setting healthy boundaries and self harm.

I also work with people who only have partial memories or are not sure what has happened to them in the past. I understand that sometimes our body seems to react to something that we don't consciously remember. This can be extremely upsetting and confusing and if you are experiencing this I do invite you to reach out to me for a free chat. You don't need to struggle alone.

I also know first hand how hard it can be to speak out about a trauma that you may have kept secret for a very long time. There is nothing you have to tell me. Some things are just too hard to begin with. I have plenty of ways of us working together that are totally content free, meaning you don't have to tell me anything that has happened in order to heal.

I have a holistic approach to therapy in the sense that we treat you as a whole person mentally, physically, emotionally and energetically.

I have a huge array of therapeutic tools we can use together to help you achieve deep and lasting change so one week we may be working on a memory, another week we may do some art therapy. Perhaps another week some EFT or hypnotherapy. Sometimes we will look at limiting beliefs and relationships, other times we will introduce safety into your body and energy field.

I am very much guided by you as well as my own intuition based on my experience. You are always in control and I will never ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with.

I do know how daunting it can be to think of coming to therapy, especially when you have experienced deep and painful trauma. I also know just how liberating and freeing it can be to come out of the other side and really live your life in a joy filled way.

To stand in your power, speak your truth and love with your whole heart. To feel safe in your body, to feel present and grounded even in challenging situations.

I would be truly honoured to accompany you on this journey so I warmly invite you to contact me for a free chat to see if we are a good fit for one another.

If you would rather meet in person I always offer my first session at the reduced price of £30 for an hour. This will give you a real sense of how we work together and whether you'd like to continue.

Also, if you are someone who is on benefits or low income, please do get in touch for a chat. I believe therapy should be available for everyone and will do my very best to accommodate you.

With warm wishes, Heather
