Fiona Chapman Integrative counsellor , HA4
I am wondering if you are here because you are struggling with something or someone in your life? Life can, at times and, is currently, presenting challenges and changes that are hard to deal with. Sometimes it is difficult to cope and events and life cycles make us feel differently about the world we inhabit or force us into situations that we struggle to be in.
Counselling is a talking therapy and although it might be difficult to find words to express how you feel, it is a chance to explore feelings, thoughts and behaviours. At the heart of the work that I do is building a trusting, honest and open relationship and provide a safe, confidential environment for you to feel you can have a look at some of those issues you might find baffling or upsetting. Counselling is an opportunity to review, heal and repair.
I have been trained as an integrative counsellor and supervisor. This means that I have been trained to work in varying approaches such as cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic and person-centred/humanistic psychotherapy. Above all, I place great importance on building a relationship that gives you the opportunity to feel heard, listened to, respected and understood.
Training and qualifications
I qualified with a postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Bristol University in 2009. I have since attained a Diploma in Integrative and Transpersonal Supervision and hold individual and group supervision sessions for trainee and qualified counsellors. I am an accredited registered member of BACP and abide by their code of ethics. I hold a certificate in Data Protection and Enhanced DBS clearance.
I have worked in Education, Hospital and Charity agency settings throughout my career and have run my private practice since 2016 seeing clients aged 12-77, in Hillingdon and Ealing boroughs of London.
