About Me

Everyone will experience difficulties or distress in their lives or in their relationships at some point. You may be struggling with low self-esteem, low mood, loss of a key relationship, a transition in your life or career, or perhaps deeper-rooted issues from the past that have been triggered by a current event or situation. I work in a warm, supportive and conversational way, with the aim of establishing a strong and trusting relationship with you. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space where we can explore your experiences, feelings and concerns together.
I practice as an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on psychodynamic and humanistic approaches alongside some CBT techniques. This means I am interested in exploring how your childhood experiences and attachments have affected you in your relationships, as well as focusing on your self-development as a whole, and empowerment to reach your full potential.
If you would like to get in touch, we can speak on the phone first to understand how you are feeling. My aim for our work together would be to provide comfort, a deeper understanding of yourself, and a sense of what options you have for positive change in your life. I work short or long-term depending on your needs and what you would like from therapy.

Training and qualifications

Background

As well as private practice, I have spent over three years at the West London Centre for Counselling, a counselling service contracted by the NHS, and have also volunteered with the charity Mind, and at the Richmond Royal Psychiatric Hospital.

Prior to training as a psychotherapist, I worked for over twenty years in broadcasting, marketing and advertising, gaining management experience in both public and private institutions. I obtained valuable experience of organisational, leadership and team dynamics, regularly offering coaching support alongside the responsibilities of my role.
