About Me

Covent Garden Counselling

London Bridge Counselling

I work with people who have grown up in dysfunctional families especially where alcohol or drug dependency was prevalent.   As adults we are more likely to suffer from depression, anxiety, fear, co-dependency.  We also learn survival skills such as OCD and self-medicate with the drugs of our choice including food and sex.

In our sessions we will explore the issues you bring with no judgement made and look at the ways we can alleviate heavy emotional states with talking therapy and energy work.  I am a firm believer in giving clients resources that they can use every day.  I also work towards clients having a very good understanding of how to take care of themselves by the time our sessions come to an end.  Life does not stop challenging us but the way we meet those challenges can make things less bleak and miserable and much less of a drama.   It is possible to reach a place that is compassionate and peaceful in our relationships with ourselves and others.

Please feel free to contact me and we can arrange a free 15-minute chat on the phone, and I can give you an idea of how we might work together. If you are happy to continue, we can arrange an initial consultation to speak about what you would like help with, in more detail.  I might typically suggest having 6 weekly sessions and then reviewing progress.

Some of the things I have seen at the end of my work with people are:

knowing themselves better and less anxiety and fears, more confidence;

avoiding people who are intent on making them feel bad - understanding their codependency;

understanding their depression and feeling better;

OCD more or less under control;

able to take more risks and move out of their comfort zone

less self-sabotage;

not needing to bully people or put others down in order to feel in control.

We are all a work in progress and life is always sending us challenges.  If we have a good strong emotional foundation, a good amount of self-esteem, confidence and yes, Love for ourselves we can meet those challenges and learn from them and counselling can help and support your journey in this. In a crisis? Feeling depressed? Trouble in relationships? How counselling can help.
