Integrative counsellorAbout Me
Life can get pretty tough. You may feel stuck, directionless and generally dissatisfied. Or you may be struggling with something specific, a difficult situation, anxiety or circumstances that feel overwhelming and out of control. Likewise, you might be experiencing difficulties in relationships, feel isolated or struggling with the way you see/feel about yourself in one way or another.
Any of these may be a signal that it’s time to look beyond yourself to help make sense of your feelings or situation and find some kind of resolution.
This is where I may be able to help.
I offer Integrative Psychotherapy which draws on a broad base of theoretical models and techniques. However, the founding principle underpinning my practice is that many of the difficulties we experience in the present are rooted in the past.
I foster a safe space where we can work through the issues you might want to explore without judgement or expectation. I believe that real and lasting change can be achieved through therapy. It may take some time and it won't always be easy but over time you can experience relief from personal difficulties, develop a stronger sense of who you are and find empowerment and fulfilment.

As someone who has made much use of painting as a medium of therapeutic expression I am particularly interested in utilising creative means to explore feelings and find meaning when it is difficult to find the words.
I work with:
- how negative childhood experiences can affect us in the present
- shame and self acceptance
- low self esteem
- explorations of identity and sexuality
- stress, overwhelm and anxiety
- feeling stuck or directionless
- depression
- bereavement
- anger and resentment
- finding a voice and a sense of empowerment

Training and qualifications
I have completed 2 years of diploma level 6 and am currently working towards an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute and a trainee member of UKCP (membership no. 2011183264). My training couples in depth study of theory and clinical practice with my own personal psychotherapy.
