Christina Fraser Jones
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
A warm welcome.
I offer a twenty-minute, free telephone consultation to explore your requirements. If we both feel comfortable working together and I think I can be of help to you, then we can discuss a way forward. In addition to face-to-face work, I am currently offering online sessions by Zoom, both short and longer-term on a weekly basis for 50 minutes. Concessions can sometimes be available.
I am an experienced UKCP Registered Integrative Psychotherapist with a background in psychology. I have worked within the mental health field for sixteen years, in a diverse range of adult services including NHS, private and voluntary sectors. Life’s challenges can offer unique opportunities for growth. However, sometimes what is happening causes us to re-evaluate our lives. The last few years have challenged us all in different ways. At times talking confidentially to an independent person can be helpful.
Acknowledging the need for a counsellor can be quite a step, particularly as many of us value our ability to work things out for ourselves. Choosing a therapist can be a daunting experience. I work to support people to explore difficult thoughts, memories, behaviour, feelings and experiences within a confidential and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Areas I work with
I have worked successfully with a wide range of issues such as depression and anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship problems, trauma, abuse and bereavement.
I work privately and part-time as an online counsellor for a leading National Charity. I also supervise volunteer counsellors in Community Counselling Agencies and provide Reflective Practice sessions for work teams in mental health organisations. I have experience of teaching Diploma Level counselling training and welcome enquiries from trainee counsellors for counselling or supervision.
