Brigit Viney
Mindfulness psychotherapistAbout Me
I am a trainee psychotherapist offering Core Process Psychotherapy, an approach which combines mindfulness with Western psychotherapeutic practice. Slowing down and paying attention to our experiences can help us meet and understand our suffering and respond to it compassionately and creatively. It also brings us to a stronger sense of our 'core' - the part of ourselves that is whole, wise, loving and joyful.
Having gained my MA in Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapeutic Practice from the Karuna Institute and Middlesex University, I am now working towards accreditation with UKCP.
I am also a fully qualified and experienced integrative counsellor and have been working with clients since 2011 in a variety of settings, including an NHS community counselling service.
I abide by the ethical guidelines of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the Karuna Institute and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I work with individuals for an agreed period of time or on an open-ended basis.
I offer a free initial meeting in which you can ask questions and see if you feel you would be comfortable working with me.
