Becky Williams
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
I originally trained in the Humanistic tradition and now work as a psychotherapist in an integrative way. I'm a fully registered member of the UKCP and member of the BACP.
I am also a Senior Lecturer at University of Brighton, training counsellors and psychotherapists.
I work from a relational perspective, seeing the therapeutic relationship as the most important element in therapy. I draw on theory from gestalt, relational transactional analysis, person-centred therapy, existential therapy. I believe each one of us is a unique human being, with a unique way of understanding the world. I will treat you as an individual, offering a supportive relationship in which we can work together towards a deeper understanding of how things are for you, paving the way for your own self development. Our therapeutic relationship will provide the foundation for positive change to occur.
I work short term and long term, and offer online sessions.
I am also a registered yoga teacher with an interest in the therapeutic benefits of meditation and other yogic practices for psychological wellbeing.
