Integrative therapistAbout Me
Hello! I am an Integrative Counsellor offering one-to-one therapy for adults, both remotely and at the Practice’s East Molesey site.
My background and key interest area is in addiction treatment and I have experience working at an addiction treatment in-patient centre as well as seeing clients facing addiction issues working for a general counselling service. It is an area I am passionate about and I believe recovery is possible for each individual.
I am also experienced in working with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, loss and grief – in short, the multitude of things that may leave us feeling a little lost in life.
Working integratively as a therapist means that I will meet each client where they are and adapt my way of working to each individual’s needs and presentation, drawing on several therapeutic modalities. I believe each person is the expert and author of their own life and I see my role as providing a safe and confidential space to explore and identify each client’s goals.
I came to therapy because I am hugely fascinated by people and genuinely interested in each client’s story – what shapes us, what makes us who we are, how we ended up where we find ourselves, where we would like to go and how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us. I also have a strong drive to help and support people in realising their full potential and have absolute faith in the power of therapy.
My strength as a therapist is providing a warm and non-judgemental space for my clients to explore what might stand in the way of effecting the changes they want to see in their lives, and I have a genuine desire to support my clients’ growth and well being.
