I'm a qualified integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and coach, bringing together aspects of recognised approaches in the way that suits you best. In addition to my private practice I work at an NHS GP surgery in West London and have a number of years experience as an honorary counsellor at the Psychosynthesis Trust.
I work with adults at all stages of life and with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship problems and sexual and emotional abuse. I have a special interest and experience in Asperger's Syndrome, work-related issues and the later stages of life.
My style is relational, warm and completely accepting. As a Registered Member of BACP, I work within its ethical framework. I attend regular clinical supervision to support my work and invest in my continued professional and personal development as a counsellor.
It's courageous to take the first step to find a therapist. If you feel ready I hope you will take the next one. When I receive your message I'll contact you to arrange a session for us to get to know each other and decide if we'd like to work together. People often feel the benefits of this very first session in being able to clarify their thoughts and have someone's complete attention.
If we decide to work together we will agree six sessions initially and then review. At that stage we could agree to continue with another six sessions, with open-ended therapy or to finish our work together. Review and reflection is an integral part of ongoing therapy.
