Lila Ramsahai is a coach in London and online

What attracted you to become a coach?

After working as a psychotherapist from 2006 onwards, I decided I wanted to work differently with clients. This resulted in becoming accredited as a wellbeing life coachAs a life coach, I work holistically with clients, paying attention to all areas of their life. Coaching enables living a balanced, happy and contented life.

Where did you train?

I trained with Raw Horizons.

What kind of coaching do you offer?

I offer personal life coaching and help people when they feel stuck, not moving forward or not achieving what they really want. Often people want to change their lives and yet don’t know where to start or what to do. By helping them, many areas of a person’s life can come into play, such as their work and career, relationships, finances, parenting, social aspect, spirituality, etc.

Often if one area of your life is not working well, it affects other areas too. For example, if you are not happy at work or with your career, it can impact your relationships or affect your mental and emotional state.

What sort of coaching clients do you usually see?

The coaching clients I see are mums or dads, or professional individuals.

What do you like about being a coach?

What I like being a coach is being able to assist people in clearing their obstacles, so they can live the life they truly desire and achieve their dreams. Seeing clients grow and flourish through my coaching is a massive reward.

What is less pleasant?

Less pleasant is when clients give up too quickly.

What one piece of advice would you give someone?

You are the designer of your own life – nobody else – so do everything you can to live it exactly the way you want to and become ecstatic about life and living.

What do you wish people knew about coaching?

That coaching is actually not about giving advice, rather it is about finding your own answers and solutions that will be enabled through the process itself, through questioning and digging deep in the self.

Do you have a favourite client testimonial or particular success story?

Yes, I have. See the testimonial below:

Marcus "I wasn't sure about being coached but knew that I needed to talk with a professional. I came across Lila's profile and after the first telephone contact (which was free for 30 min) I decided to take up six sessions with her. I had a rough idea of the areas I wanted to work on such as my weight (quite overweight), divorce and issues with infidelity. I used the six sessions to focus on my issues about my divorce, which was linked to my infidelity. We focused on ‘relationships’ and I had many breakthrough moments through Lila’s sessions. It enable me to relate much better with my ex-wife and children. Since the sessions I have become part of my children’s lives again which was my big aim. Lila was really able to get to the bottom of my persisting issues and we worked very hard in the sessions. The 'homework' she further gave me helped to ease my stress and anxiety when alone. I still continue with journaling my thoughts and feelings and have noticed to feel very relieved afterwards. I hope to take some more sessions again with Lila and work on my other issues."
