About Me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

Firstly, a bit about me. I am a mother or 2 boys one of which is autistic so I have a passion for supporting parents of special needs children and neurodiverse clients. Being in long-term Recovery, I use my lived experience when working with addictions (alcohol, drugs and disordered eating) and invisible illnesses, such as fibromyalgia and chronic pain/fatigue. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including abuse, addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, parenting problems, career challenges, self-esteem issues, and ADHD. I am also an OldPain2Go® Practitioner if you are dealing with Chronic Pain or Fibromyalgia.

I enjoy working with young people from 14 years old and my therapy style is warm, friendly, and integrative.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I like to keep clients involved in the direction of therapy, after all, it is your life and you should be able to choose what you want to work on, when, and how. I use my training to facilitate this.

I use a pluralistic way of incorporating various approaches to our work together and I start each session with a check-in to see where you are at and what you would like to discuss. There is no set number of sessions and I accommodate your specific needs as much as I can to work on a suitable treatment plan. Regular reviews make sure you are happy along the way. Even if you are not sure about Therapy, please get in contact as it is always good to get things off your chest and it may only take a single session for you to feel a bit better and decide if Therapy is 'for you'.

If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to hearing from you and will respond as soon as I can.
