About Me

I am a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Accredited Integrative Counsellor working with individuals and couples over the age of 16. I have extensive experience in working across a broad range of concerns, cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations.

I have worked in the NHS, the voluntary sector and private practice. I bring this knowledge and experience into my work.

I have considerable expertise and success in working with a wide range of issues that include, anxiety disorders and depression, bereavement, childhood and current abuse including Domestic Violence, relationship issues, eating disorders, identity and self-worth, women’s issues, transitions in life such as becoming a parent, marrying and ageing, transgender and sexuality, rape, sexual assault and violence, addictions, co-dependency and bullying and ASD.

The relationship between the client and their therapist is the most important part of therapy, so to make this relationship work for you, I create a safe and trusting place for you to come and talk and get support from someone with a different perspective. It's a place where you can talk openly and honestly about the things that are affecting you.

My role as a counsellor is to provide you with a warm, safe and grounded space, where your thoughts, emotions, experiences and behaviours can be shared so they can be heard, felt and understood.

The benefits of therapy are many, such as feeling less anxious; having more energy; greater confidence; improved communication and better relationships.

My areas of expertise are;

Life transitions

Relationship Counselling

Bereavement

Historic abuse

Cocaine & Alcohol Addiction

Rape and Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence for both Women and Men
