Susan MorganIntegrative psychotherapist
Hello, my name is Susan and I am an experienced integrative psychotherapist with experience in addiction. I work with substance addiction, alcoholism, co-dependency, debt, gambling and porn addiction. I am also familiar with the 12 Step process. I also work with depression and anxiety and other life issues such as work life and relationships.
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a talking therapy, conducted regularly, at the same time, weekly. I facilitate a space to help you gain a clearer understanding and benefit from the continual, persistent behaviours, which have been affecting your well being. This can be things such as negative or critical thought patterns affecting your self worth to difficulties in your relationship, such as communication problems. Or explore conditions such as depression and anxiety that may be having an adverse affect on elements of your life because of their persistent presence and look at ways we can work through these to help your life feel compassionate, purposeful and enjoyable again.
How I work?
Our first session is an assessment session, lasting up to 90 minutes. This is an initial exploration of what you are dealing with and questions about your life to get an idea of how therapy can work for you. Following the assessment we can set up further sessions to explore what you want to look at it in the therapy.
As an Integrative psychotherapist I use a number of different approaches to help you get an understanding or a clearer idea of the difficulties you are facing. Overall, the hope of therapy is to create a therapeutic relationship that can influence the outcome you want to reach for your life.
