About me

I am a specialist traumatologist working with complex trauma and neuro-divergence, in particular ASD and ADHD. I am personally assessed as having Asperger type ASD & dyslexia and I am a trauma survivor myself. I use an adapted 3 stage Heller style process / protocol for treating complex trauma. [NICE guidelines specify only use a specialist employing a manualised treatment protocol]. I am trained in a variety of models of therapy that fit into each of the stages of trauma treatment: stabilisation, processing and post traumatic growth, so I have options to use at each stage. I have been working as a therapist for just over 31 years, most of that time with trauma, and latterly specialising and completing my post qualification, post graduate international certifications in advanced clinical trauma specialist treatment. I work primarily with survivors of adverse childhood experience / developmental trauma, also domestic violence / abuse, and also some military trauma. I have extensive experience of working with parts, inner child and disassociation. I am body and mind holistically trained and I am a true integrative therapist.... Body - Mind - Spirit. I am an inclusive provider and at any time about half of my clients are Gay, Lesbian or Bi. I am also experienced in working with different cultures, especially different faiths, middle eastern clients Jewish and Muslim and pagans.
