Recommended by British Vogue and Sheerluxe.
Based in central and east London
Hi, I'm Sophie and I'm a cognitive hypnotherapist. I work with people from all walks of life to over come issues that have left them feeling stuck, so they can find freedom and start making positive and healthier choices.
In addition to individual therapy sessions, I also run hypnobirthing courses to help provide mothers and their partners with the tools and techniques to creative a positive and calm experience into parenthood and also corporate wellbeing sessions.
What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a modern, holistic and flexible approach influenced by cognitive theory, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
What can I expect?
A cognitive hypnotherapist will utilise a range of techniques and tools, including Timeline Regression, EMI (Eye Movement Integration), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) also known as Tapping, among many others. Clients can expect me to get to the root cause of an issue, heal and feel empowered to look head and embrace a more positive future.
How I can help
I support my clients with a range of issues that may be affecting the way they think and feel about things in their life, from stress and anxiety to negative behaviour and habits such as smoking and binge drinking, as well as issues related to eating, confidence and low self-esteem. Issues that may have left them unable to move forwards with their lives.
How long does it take to experience change?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an efficacious therapy that can create immediate results in a relatively short time. In fact, some clients have noticed changes in the way they think and feel after the just the history take. However, everyone is different and I recommend at a minimum, clients commit to three sessions before the effectiveness of treatment is evaluated.
The process
I am wholeheartedly committed to the clients I work with, which is why I only work with a handful of people at any one time. Before we agree to work together, we will have a conversation on the phone. My goal in therapy is to ensure that my clients progress, which is why I only work with clients if I feel confident that I can help elicit positive and lasting change.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an efficacious therapy that can create immediate results in a relatively short time, but key to making changes permanent is consistency and cumulative impact. I recommend at a minimum clients commit to a minimum of three-session before the effectiveness of treatment is evaluated.
