Sophie Forrest
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
Hi, I am Sophie, a trained counsellor, specialising in humanistic integrative therapy, my work is rooted in a person-centred way whilst drawing upon other theories and approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic, Attachment Theory and Gestalt, to help further our understanding of your current feelings, thoughts and behaviours whilst being held in a compassionate and holding environment.
I provide a safe and confidential space to explore and understand your current situation without judgment. Drawing on past experiences and relationships with others, we can explore and deepen your understanding and sense of self. Applying the right psychological approach unique to you will allow for further self-awareness.
We can work together in addressing and unravelling situations that may feel unmanageable.
I work with adults of all ages, backgrounds and identities and have a deep level of understanding regarding culture, neglect, oppression and racism.
I currently offer online short-term counselling via Zoom and will soon be providing open-ended and face to face sessions too. If you are interested in setting up an initial session for us to meet and arrange sessions together, then please do get in contact.
