Sandra Kutner
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
As a Registered Counsellor I specialise in Anxiety and Depression for adults (18 plus). My aim is to support you in times of emotional difficulty. In sharing what has brought you to counselling now we will explore the obstacles, thoughts and feelings that come up for you.
By working with mindfulness, you will learn the importance of engaging with your mind and body. Gradually, you may start to notice when you are being triggered, and in time, this will enable you to put helpful processes in place.
At times of heightened anxiety you may have adopted strategies to protect yourself to avoid painful thoughts and feelings. Our work in the counselling room will involve appreciation of what led to these unhelpful coping mechanisms. Our aim is that you will discover healthier ways of being that support your mental health.
I provide non-judgemental, unconditional support as we make sense of the issues that have brought you to counselling. I create a warm confidential space enabling you to be yourself.
By sharing your story and uncovering repressed emotions, I will help you to explore healthier ways of being. You are unique and there is no 'one size fits all' approach. My aim is to provide a unique experience that works for you.
Under the umbrella of an Anxiety and Depression Counsellor, there are a wide range of issues that I work with. Please take a look at my website and don't hesitate to get in touch for more information: www.skcounselling.co.uk.

Training and qualifications
I trained as a Counsellor over a 4 year period and gained an Advanced Diploma as an Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapist. This means that I work with a range of different approaches enabling me to support you as a unique individual.
Prior to this time, I was a HR Manager for a Corporate Retail Company for many years so had a fair few transferable skills that enabled me to move into this field of work. I spent 2 years training in placement at a Womens Centre and a Hospice.
