Rosie JonesIntegrative counsellor
Counselling can unpick past or present feelings and thought patterns to allow us to become more aware and accepting of who we are and how we behave. Growing our self-awareness helps us to empathise with ourselves, and show ourselves more compassion during hard times. We may explore past relationships, experiences, or unconscious processes that may be at play, to help you to build on this self-awareness.
The relationship and connection with your counsellor is very important; without it, how can you feel comfortable to open up? I know it takes a lot of courage to see a counsellor, and I do what I can to support you through the process. My focus throughout our work will be on our relationship, a relationship that is open, non-judgmental, accepting and empowering.
