About Me

Hello, I’m Rashna, welcome to my profile.

Life can be challenging, situations may make you feel overwhelmed and alone. Perhaps something feels difficult to think about or express. Living with high levels of anxiety, dread or fear can have a considerable impact on how we view ourselves and our interaction with others. I understand that reaching out for help can feel daunting.

With compassion and care I can help you explore the thoughts, feelings, and difficulties you are experiencing, helping increase your understanding of yourself. Deeper insight can lead to lasting, positive change.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is key to facilitating this change. In my practice I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you will feel heard and supported. A space to just be you. I am an experienced integrative counsellor, meaning I am trained in different forms of therapy which enable me to tailor our work together according to your unique and individual needs. Alongside talking therapy, I can facilitate expression through creative mediums e.g. pictures, drawing, mindfulness practices if you feel this would be of benefit for you.

I work with most psychological difficulties and have a special interest in anxiety, self-esteem, problematic family relationships, cultural identity, parenting and work related issues. I have worked with people of all ages, including counselling younger children in schools which has  deepened my knowledge around attachment issues and the impacts through to adult life. Prior to my work as a Counsellor I worked in the media industry for many years, this gave me first-hand experience of the challenges and stresses faced in the workplace including work/life balance and burnout.

I welcome diversity including all genders, races, ages, sexuality, cultures, religions and abilities.

Do get in touch if you would like a free initial 15 minute online or telephone consultation which will give us an opportunity to discuss your needs and assess potentially working together.

Whatever direction you choose, I wish you well.
