Integrative counsellorAbout Me
I believe people can be empowered to find their own answers. I value honesty, individual difference, finding your own path, integrity, connection and relationships.
As an Integrative Counsellor, I am trained in three modalities – Person-Centred Counselling, Attachment Theory and Psychodynamic - however, I draw upon techniques from other schools of thought such as Systemic theory and narrative therapy in order to tailor the most effective course of counselling for each individual. My approach values honesty, individual difference, finding one’s own path, integrity, connections and relationships, and I respect our inner resources and spirit to bring us through adversity.
I have been a counsellor for 24 years meaning I have a wealth of experience in supporting clients with various life issues, such as Childhood abuse, Addiction, Bereavement/Loss, Trauma, Work-related Concerns, Mental Health issues, Family and Parenting concerns, Relationship issues, Domestic violence, Childhood issues, Self-harm and Eating Distress, and existential thinking. I also provide couples counselling and relationship therapy to help couples reach a better understanding of themselves and each other.
I provide a compassionate space offering counselling at our Studio in Leek, Staffordshire, either online via TEAMS or over the phone and also I offer Walk and Talk Therapy. My work outdoors connects the experience of breathing, moving and being in the natural world.I aim to help you move step by step towards the life you want.
I can help you to become more effective at work, regain connection with people in your life, feeling fabulous to be you, to be able to move past painful experiences. The aim of our sessions is to help clients connect with their inner knowing of what is right for them, and to support and facilitate them in finding a way through their difficulties. With warmth and compassion, I strive to respond to clients without judgement. I value the importance of an honest and genuine working relationship with my clients.
I look forward to working with you.
