About Me

Hi, my name is Paul.

I am an accredited Person-Centred Counsellor, this means I work with you to understanding and then overcome your challenges in life, in a supportive and effective way. I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment where we can work constructively and collaboratively together, to help you reach your goals.

I use a strong Person-Centred approach to therapy and take from several other therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches, to help clients in multiple ways.

I have been working in this field for many years, and have been able to successfully help people move forward with their life. I have an intimate understanding of what it's like dealing with difficult emotions, and this has given me a unique approach and understanding to help you move forward too.

I am fully insured and registered with the National Counselling Society and based at BCS Mental Health Service.

In the past, I have worked at a variety of agencies to help me gain a wider understanding and experience, such as MIND and  Cruse Bereavement. Here I worked with a wide range of client concerns including; addictions, anxiety, anger, depression, panic attacks, sleep issues, low self-esteem, social phobia, stress, bereavement and loss.

Contacting a counsellor can feel daunting but could also be life-changing. I offer sessions that work best for you and am qualified to provide face to face, online or telephone sessions, whatever suits you.

Thank you for reading my profile, I hope it helps you with the sometimes difficult task of choosing a counsellor. If you have any questions around how I can help you please do let me know.
