About Me

I am a BACP accredited practitioner, practicing integrative psychotherapy. If you'd like an overview of integrative psychotherapy you will find a URL at the bottom of this text. I offer face-to-face meetings at Sloane Square, London (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), and Hadley Green, Barnet (Saturdays and Sundays). I offer online work, and time-limited counselling for Employee Assistance Programmes.

Assuming you have problems more and less urgent - so do I. I will not discuss my problems with you, unless you become one of them.

We’d like to understand situations and feelings and ideas as they are, as well as how we might wish them to be. We'd like to be 'realists', as well as 'fantasists'. Reality and fantasy are very much entwined in each of us. Let's suppose for practical purposes 'reality' is the demands life makes of us, and 'fantasy' is our our inner universe of feelings and images, hopes and fears. Each is necessary and unavoidable. Psychotherapy involves bringing these dimensions into greater confluence, increasing our satisfaction in time and relationships. Psychotherapy helps us live richer, more fulfilled, insightful lives.

We all face extraordinary challenges. Everyone experiences loss and feels bereft. We are anxious and conflicted. Ultimately of course what we do with what we have is a matter for each of us individually, with consequences.

As an adult one has choices and assumes responsibilities voluntarily. One enlightening, liberating gift of therapy is coming to appreciate that being alive is voluntary. It's your life; it's my life. My work is to help make sense and take responsibility and practise commitment to living.

I offer 50 minutes of safe space at the agreed time, preferably weekly, in which clients do by far most of the talking. I operate a limited cancellation policy: this means clients can cancel four sessions in any 12-month period without charge. The balance of sessions attended or cancelled are invoiced. I will invoice four weeks' written notice of termination. Quite properly, clients expect me to be there for them as contracted. This is my business; it is not a charity; like you, I have expenses.

I guarantee results. Call or email me for an initial consultation.
