People come to therapy for a wide range of reasons, usually (but not always) motivated by desire for something new; something better; often uncertain how best to make and manage change, sometimes powerfully resistant to it. You may want to understand how you came to be where you are, or how to stop repeating unhelpful patterns. You may or may not have a specific aim in mind, but you know you want to feel happy and hopeful and alive. Whatever your reason, there's the idea that speaking with an experienced professional should provide relief and insight.
I offer safe space to account for your narratives and processes, to consider your options. The work is a creative, shared endeavour; a pilgrimage-to-your-self, meditating the quality and features of experience and imagination. In every case feeling is the motive power that stimulates the intelligence and prompts the will to action.
I am present with experience, attention and empathy; reflecting and framing your concerns; making enquiries; uncovering potential. You are assured my integrity and constructive companionship as you find the way forward. Opportunity requires that we turn up to meet it. Every new thing requires courage - one first step, and then another.
