About Me

Are you:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, on edge, irritable and hopeless?
  • Battling with negative and conflicting thoughts? Are you often overthinking?
  • Experiencing physical symptoms of shortness of breath, sweating, tiredness, trembling, pain and muscle tension?
  • Having many arguments in your relationships?

If you answered yes to any of those, you are probably struggling with anxiety. If so, you’re not alone. I work with people just like you.

So contact me now [email protected] and let’s start creating a positive future.

My help

With over a decade of experience in the therapeutic field, I help many clients to address their anxiety. As a result of this you will:

  • Find freedom from constant worry and fear
  • Learn effective and healthy strategies and tools to cope with anxiety
  • Have clearer thinking and develop problem-solving skills
  • Experience calmness and increased energy
  • Lessen conflicts in relationships
  • Discover how to trust yourself and feel confident to handle changes

What I Offer

Talking therapies, where together we explore what’s happening for you to understand and process your anxiety:

  • Weekly Counselling and Psychotherapy sessions are about understanding you as a person to address difficulties with the aim of improving your life.
  • Intensive Counselling and Psychotherapy are your opportunity to make a quicker progress towards the desired healing in one week.

If you find it difficult to express yourself through words, you might prefer other options to address your anxiety:

  • Individual Kundalini Yoga sessions will enable you to reconnect with your body to achieve wellbeing. Adaptations are made considering your practical health and ability.
  • Yoga incorporated into counselling and psychotherapy (weekly and intensive formats) help to create a balanced body and mind approach to emotional healing.

These approaches will regulate your nervous system, addressing anxiety and stress levels.

My practice values:

  • Individualised approach. Striving for flexibility and inclusion to accommodate your personal needs, such as a long-term physical health condition and/or disability.
  • Accepting environment. Inviting you to be yourself and explore what is right for you.
  • Positive change. Focusing on positive changes through regular reviews of your sessions to ensure maximum benefit to you.

Training and qualifications

My Education, Qualifications and Continuous Professional Development

During my BSc Psychology degree I learnt how biological, psychological and social factors influence human health and as a therapist I aim to utilise this to enable a positive state of wellbeing.

My MA Social Work degree introduced me to empowerment, enablement, task-centred, solution-focused and strength-based approaches. I also integrate them into my therapeutic practice.

I originally trained in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and later completed Anthroposophical Psychotherapy training). I continue attending professional training and ongoing supervision.

I am a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner. I use these in my practice if and when appropriate. I continue reading and attending various courses on yoga, health, energy and healing.
