Psychodynamic psychotherapistAbout Me
I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy from a relational perspective, with two options.
1. Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), which is a treatment course of 16 sessions to help identify anxiety and depression, which may be caused by relational difficulties. We would look at experiences that may have happened in your past, which could continue to affect the way you feel and behave in relationships today.
2. Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, where the primary focus is to identify and understand emotional and behavioural patterns that are troublesome. The length of the therapy is discussed together as we proceed.
Alongside my private practice, I work within the NHS as a senior psychotherapist, and lead clinician, providing Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT); as part of the NHS’s ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) Talking Therapies Southwark service, at South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Foundation Trust.
I am a professional member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and also registered with The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC). Therefore I adhere to their code of ethics and working practice. I am also a kite-marked DIT clinician registered with The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am a recognised psychotherapist registered with Counselling Directory, Find a Therpay.org, Psychology Today, and Welldoing.org.
