About me

I am a therapist working part-time from home. I have worked in a NHS GP Practice in Islington, and a charity organisation for trauma victims including migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Deptford. Currently, I am the lead Counsellor in a secondary school in Highbury and Islington and I volunteer at my local organisation for ELMS Waltham Forest. My approach to therapy is a very open one. It includes listening, reflecting, asking thought provoking questions and providing tentative interpretations. I can offer to work at a mid-level to help you to improve your mood and give you a confidence boost. On a deeper level, I can aid you in discussing and unpacking significant life events to encourage you to understand the way you and others think, why certain behaviours get repeated and how to make positive life changes. This thereby can help you to engage with yourself and your life in a clearer and constructive way. This is a service for you to discuss whatever you wish, even if you are unsure about what you hope to achieve. Slowly, we can distinguish goals and work around these in order for the counselling experience to be both engaging and rewarding.
