Michael Onslow
PsychotherapistAbout Me
I became a psychotherapist after a long career in the arts. It was a job that let me see life through other people’s eyes and gave me an inside understanding of the anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or trauma you may be experiencing and that can be so challenging to live with.
Whatever difficulties you are facing, you will find me to be a warm, caring, non-judgemental person, who offers a calm, relaxed environment for you to talk about anything that's causing you concern. I will be sensitive and adaptable to your needs, and committed to providing you with the best possible understanding and support throughout our time together.
What to expect from therapy
I believe that our experiences are unique and so I will offer you your own unique therapy that puts your needs at the heart everything. Perhaps there are problematic relationships - past or present - that you need to come to terms with, or you struggle with complex anxiety, self-doubt and self-criticism? Maybe there have been events, out of your control, that have left deep scars, or you are feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of life in general?
I will offer you unconditional compassion and care for anything you want to bring to therapy. It is a place to have time for yourself and where I will always want to listen and help. In an inclusive, supportive way, we will explore where your difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions come from and work together to understand how they are affecting you now. That understanding will allow us to give you clarity, choice and control and make the changes you need for a positive future.
