About me

*face to face and online sessions*  Are you feeling stuck in some way and struggling to work through this or feel limited in how to relate to the world around you- Together we can work to help you find a deeper sense of connection, acceptance and understanding of yourself and the world around you. Therapy can be an incredibly life affirming and transformational journey. You have taken this courageous step towards finding help, and there are many therapists out there so it can feel a bit overwhelming at times-trust you instinct, go with the profiles you feel drawn to-it is important you find a therapist that is a good fit for you. Have a read through my profile, if it resonates with you click on the Green Contact button OR do get in touch via email with any questions. I will get back to you with information and instructions for how access your initial online session.  You then decide whether you want to confirm a booking and we can then go ahead with the session. I am currently only working online but the advantage of this is that we are not bound by geography. You may want to bring something specific or you may just need a confidential space to share what is going on for you. Together we can explore the outcomes you are hoping for and navigate paths to find your way there. I am here to hold a safe space for you along your unique journey. We can work together both verbally and/or creatively and bring attention to an embodied awareness. The body and mind are intrinsically connected and having an awareness of how they work together can help us to experience more balance in our lives. The beauty about working creatively is that it enables us to find shift in areas where we are feeling stuck and bring new insight and 'aha' moments that we don't always access when we are focusing on our experience verbally.  Sessions can be incredibly valuable for clients wanting to process life experiences from the pre-verbal phase like womb twin survivors or vanishing twin survivors etc.

Training and qualifications

Private practitioner with ADMP UK since 2011 MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy 2011 Dance of Awareness Practitioner 2015 Supervision training CSTD 2019-2021 Certified Embodiment Coach 2023 One to one experience both online and face to face. Group experience facilitating therapy sessions, retreats, workshops and lectures both privately and within organisations. My background in drama and the creative arts as well as my travels around the world and brief Tai chi practice very much inform my approach to therapy.  I was born in South Africa surrounded by a variety of cultures and religious beliefs and world views.  I am open for you to share your faith be it Christian or any other , spirituality and worldviews in the sessions if you like, as they can offer support and impact upon our struggles within life's journey. Equally this may not be something you need to share as part of our therapy work. I have had experience with clients of all ages, my current private practice focuses on work with over 18's. Clients I have worked with come to share their desire for connectedness and growth and expression.  Some have shared the added challenges of living with anxiety, mental health struggles, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
