Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
Hi my name is lea and i am an experienced adult and child integrative therapist. I have been a therapist for some time now and before this i worked in the legal sector. I decided to change my career path as someone i knew had counselling and i had no idea what it was about or what happened in the room. So i studied the first year to understand the process and fell in love with the work and how it can help people. Moving forward, i have ensured a high level of training in multiple areas of counselling to prevent restrictions in the range of support that can be offered. I like to make sure when my clients come to me they can have the support in one place rather than various places. I like to work with my clients both in person and online and i offer long and short term therapy.
My work style is client focused and i make sure the support is tailored to the specific needs of the client. I like to give my clients a space where they can feel comfortable talking about what they are finding difficult and explore why this might be happening. Together we can then look at various different methods and techniques that can help them to move forward both during the therapy and after. I believe we will face many challenges at different times and therapy should not just provide the skills for the immediate, but should leave the client with the skills to work through challenges in the future.
Outside of my work i am a mother and a dog owner. I like to explore new places and this is often with my dog Rex and try new things. I also like to be at home watching a good movie and eating popcorn. I do not have many hobbies but i do like motor sports and reading. Every year i like to go and stay in cabins in the forest with my family and explore the local area and have some time away from reality. This helps me refresh and reminds me of what is there but i do not often see.
