Laura Lonsdale
Person-centred/humanistic psychotherapistAbout Me
With over ten years experience I offer care and compassion in helping people overcome life's difficulties. I am a qualified member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and believe that being understood and respected can shift how we feel about ourselves. I work on a one to one basis helping you explore experiences and concerns without feeling judged. I work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship problems, aswell as low self esteem. All these can seem more manageable if they are brought to the surface and considered. No problem is too small. I am currently working online which means greater flexibility.
Feeling stuck in a situation is hard struggling alone. Sometimes the first step of making a call for help can be the first step to recovery. I offer 50 minute sessions where we discuss what it is that brings you to therapy and we then meet weekly in a calm and relaxing centre. This is where you put yourself first. It can be relief to unburden stored and unspoken things, making you feel less weighed down. This can be empowering and a reminder of who you are. I work with patience and interest and help to find your strengths and abilities to cope.
