About Me

Counselling can really make a difference when things get hard – feeling understood, safe, and genuinely accepted helps. Looking for the right support can be daunting, especially when you are already feeling low and confused. By exploring this site, you have taken the first important step.

Even if you have a supportive circle, it may be easier to talk about personal, family or relationship issues with an independent and professional therapist. I offer a confidential space where you can explore your feelings and thoughts in your own time, privately.

You may already have a sense of what you want from counselling, or you may just feel something's not right in your life. I will be beside you, helping you identify, understand, and address your worries. You may feel distressed, or you may simply want to be curious about who you are and who you hope to be.

Sometimes we lose touch with ourselves and grow numb, perhaps because we didn’t have the right environment growing up, or because things have happened in our lives and we have become stuck. Difficult things happen in our lives but when we feel isolated and alone these can become traumatic. In counselling, we can work together to co-create a place to support you to figure things out.

Whatever it is, together we can work to ease your pain and heal what hurts.

Our first session will be a chance to get to know each other and decide whether we are the right fit, it is important that you feel safe and comfortable with your counsellor. We will talk about what is going on for you and what you are hoping to get from therapy, and then together we will decide how we will work together.

We can figure out what suits you best in terms of time and commitment.

After an initial session, during which we can discuss your individual needs and goals, I can offer short term work of 6-8 weeks together, and longer 'open ended' counselling. Sessions last an hour for £60 and are usually weekly, but you can choose to come weekly, fortnightly or monthly if you prefer.

You can decide how long you want to attend and how deep you wish to go. I will do my best to be honest and authentic, and to work with you with compassion.
