Keith Waites
Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
Hi my name is Keith, and I am a Person-Centred, Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor.
If you are going through challenging and difficult times, you may be looking for a Counsellor who can listen in non-judgement, as you consider and reflect on these difficulties. The foundation of my practice is genuine respect - and a personal commitment to working with you authentically, and honestly. With your wellbeing and safety at the centre of this work, this commitment extends to active listening and being present for you in the moment - focussing on your goals and objectives in every step of the process.
I am fully qualified and fully insured, and have experience supporting clients with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, trauma, addiction, relationships, abuse, chronic illness and family issues. Choosing a Counsellor that is right for you can often be difficult - I offer acknowledgment of that difficulty, and of your independence and autonomy in making that decision.
If you would like to arrange some sessions with me, then please get in touch, and we can arrange an introduction session. I am passionate about my work, and I look forward to speaking with you.
My approach to Practice is Person-Centred, Humanistic and Integrative. My Practice puts you at the very centre of all the work that we do, offering empathy and honesty - being alongside you as you explore your difficulties. The aim is to provide a space in which you can reflect, explore and seek ways to gain understanding and self-awareness around you and your difficulties.
Your own personal goals and objectives are the foundation of the sessions, and we use whichever methods you are comfortable with, or you find useful - reviewing our work regularly. We will work to find ways forward that are suited to you - using consideration, compassion and authenticity.
Counselling is online or via telephone. Face to face sessions can be arranged if required.
After you contact me, I will get back to you to arrange an initial call. Here we can be introduced, and you can ask me any questions you may have. I can tell you a bit more about myself, and will provide you with some more information about how the Counselling process works. You can get a feel about us possibly working together, and hopefully we can start to build a therapeutic connection.
All sessions are 50mts long, and our first session marks the beginning of the process - we will discuss our sessions going forward, and go through all the contractual elements.
I currently have space for new clients.
Sessions are conducted online or via telephone. Face to Face therapy can be arranged if required.
